With Real Bedford having secured their place last week as divisional winners they can afford to relax a little with their remaining matches. With a rearranged county cup match mid-week also due Rob Sinclair may be inclined to focus less on the remaining league games in favour of a Cup win to round off the year for the team.
Thame United Reserves travel to Bedford this week on literally the other end of the division in terms of position. The gap between the two sides is huge: 69 points (Thame Reserves with a game in hand) and some 141 goals difference. Thame have had a frustrating run of results recently, generally only a single goal behind when loosing or a score draw on other occasions, they don't seem to be able to catch a break at home or away!
Everyone will be hoping for a break in the recent rain and for Real Bedford's groundsman to pull out yet another miracle in terms of pitch condition to allow this match to go ahead. Thame may not expect to win this match, but they will at least be looking to have a good showing of themselves against the division’s winners.
